If you have a troublesome dog who wanders all over your neighbourhood and won’t stay in your yard or a dog that barks all day long and annoys your neighbours, then you need to try the new range of dog training collars. These are specially designed to correct your dogs behaviour and do not harm your dog at all, but they do help you to retrain your dog so that they will respond to your commands and behave themselves.
There are three
different types of training collars that you can purchase: stop barking collars
for dogs, containment systems and remote trainers.
Stop barking collars for dogs
Sometimes we just
need a little bit of extra help to train our dogs and that is where stop
barking collars for dogs are so helpful. Your dog wears a dog training collar
with a receiver that gives them a warning beep when they bark. If they bark
again within 30 seconds, they will then receive a harmless static correction.
This does give them a bit of a zip, but is harmless. If you have a little dog
or a nervous dog however, you can purchase a collar that uses a sonic sound
rather than a static correction - so you don’t have to worry about your little
dog being scared.
Containment systems
These work on the
same principle as the stop barking collars for dogs where they receive a
warning beep and then a static correction if they approach your boundary line.
Your dog wears a collar with a receiver that picks up a FM signal from a wire
placed along your boundary which triggers a warning when they approach the wire
and a static correction if they continue to approach your boundary.
Remote trainers
These are mostly
used by professionals and are the same as the stop barking
collars for dogs, but you have a remote control so you can correct your dog
and teach them your voice commands quickly. These really help you to train your
dog, but are not suitable for everyone. So be sure to do your research, before
investing in any of these training collars, and your family dog will soon be a
perfect member of your family.
